he graduated from MIT and won the nobel prize for physics. LOL

As long as we’re being nerds, I should point out that he mentioned “centrifugal force”. However, this is no such thing as “centrifugal force”. It’s a common misconception of inertia.

Nooooo….don’t talk if you don’t know. Centrifugal is a such thing. It just is the “effects” of inertia. Or represents one of them. You got it kind of right, but still wrong man.
chicagovigilante Said,
Actually, the force when swinging something in a circle is directed toward the center of the circle, making it a “centripetal” (toward the center) force, not a “centrifugal” (center-fleeing) force. Inertia is not a force, and the effect of inertia is not a force either. If anything, “centrifugal” force is just a perceived force that does not exist but causes confusion because most people don’t understand that velocity has a directional component.

he only described how the golf swing works.. accept for the “centrifugal force”
day2daycarnival Said,
I love how you guys are all trying to say that there is no such thing as centrifugal force. Look in any middle school science book and you’ll see it there. The force of the golf club that is traveling in the swing plane is greatest at the club head. The force is moving away from the center (head/shoulders), down the arms, and down the club to the club face. I believe that’s the definition of centrifugal force?
Although it can be argued that it’s not a force, it does exist.

I get the basic parts of what he is saying, whoever said it doesn’t make sense is stupid cuz it obviously does I don’t understand it all but based on my knowledge of the golf swing and some basic science terms I sort of know what he is saying.

God you are all missing the point! He’s taking the piss out of a book called “the golfing machine” by Homer Kelly! A load of scientific jargon about the golf swing! look it up on google! Most of what he says is in the book…I kid you not!
