I totally agree with this video. Using your core AND releasing wrist angle is a killer combination for longer drives!

    2. johnnyblazsus Said,

this is totally correct and proper way to realise the wrists

    3. thearcanist Said,

using the proper technique really does help. I went Top Golf today, and with there clubs i managed to hit a 210 yard shot with a crap crap crap club, (3 iron). Ive only started playing golf recently. These videos really do help

    4. BoddyChaw Said,

Long drives is not about power. Length comes from the swat. When mass is considered It’s not a bowling ball it’s a fly your hitting. Swat it like a fly. The body turn sets you up to swat it. You can have great turn great tempo great everything, but if you don’t swat it, it won’t fly like it could.

    5. jonnirabbi Said,

I totally aggree with you BoddyChaw !!

    6. BoddyChaw Said,

abeasaff —– Please post a video of your swing. I want to see how you hit it far.

    7. Legosargon Said,

    8. mrgambinii Said,

lol. its like a body blow.

    9. nizza594 Said,

Well if we could all do that we wouldn’t need to see you for those lessons would we?

    10. bamaslaten Said,

what the heck are you doing here then. Go play a round of golf.

    11. tpstrat14 Said,

i noticed that the farther i try to hit the ball, the worse position it puts me in(slice, miss the ball, etc.) whereas when i just swing at it nice and easy, it usually goes straighter and more accurate. i mean honesly, would you rather have your ball 30 yards farther into the deep rough (or off the course) or 30 shorter and in the middle of the fairway… long drives are all about foolish pride….

    12. xvirg Said,

Practice your timing… it’s the most important aspect of the swing (once you have the basic swing down). Also, I have a technique that gets the feeling of the hands out of the swing. When you can’t feel your hands holding the club, you make proper contact consistently. If your left or right hand is dominating the grip anywhere along the swing, you’ll never gain consistency. Most right-handed golfers apply too much left-hand pressure on the club. That will ruin timing from club to club.

I have been watching a lot of videos, and this one make the transition through impact much clearer than any of the others I watched; just like the one on the initial move I watched prior to this one.

    17. ManiacZack2551 Said,

I think of the song, ‘Hold On Loosely’ when I go to grip my club. ^_^. “If you cling too tightly, you’re gonna lose control.”

    21. derekjeter1994 Said,

@tpstrat14 i slowed my swing down and it actually went farther, straighter, idk y but it worked.

    22. allyz04 Said,

@ManiacZack2551 On the other hand, If you grip too loosely you’ll let go of the club and smack someone in the face.
