    1. weiwei6969 Said,

very help. I have a question. do you put your weight on your right foot at all when u do the back swing( cuz your shoulder turns?)

    2. rizzo43 Said,

if it was only that easy! keep them coming thanks.

    3. telescope3 Said,

Both are correct. At the start of the downswing the arms ARE mostly passive at first, then at the bottom you increase their speed and release your lag to turn/whip the club through the ball.

    4. FairwayJack Said,

I would say you should only consciously hit at the last 6 inches of the downswing

    5. viola128 Said,

you made this so simple, easy to understand. please continue to show us more.
      thanks

    6. dlvp1111 Said,

Excellent tip– This was the ‘missing link’ for my swing. (along with the proper hip rotation). But I went from shooting in the low 100’s last season, to shooting in the low 90’s my first 2 rounds this season. Obviously I had spent several sessions implementing these tips at the range.

      Good Golfing!

      Jeff, thank you!!

    10. juicyfruitzy Said,

Jeff, thanks alot for posting this. I did a search for golf swing sequence and your videos were the only ones that came up. Thank God! Makes perfect sense. I was looking for that part of the swing that occurs between maintaining the angle and the release. Rotation of the body is what creates the bottoming out of the impact. Thank you for making that clearer. I was really stuck there for a while.

    17. Jamison987 Said,

So then is this more along the lines of a stack and tilt swing? Because I didnt hear anything about transfering your weight to your right side? Thanks love your vids tho.

    18. falldogg Said,

Jeff, any drills to stop the hips from swaying forward on the down swing?

    19. saijinkai Said,

@sulakleo hitmanhawky needs to stop spamming

    20. auldmart Said,

      Brilliant tip

    21. Funmichi Said,

you are one of the best teachers!

    22. catapultmagic Said,

I’ve found ‘thinking about’ stepping on the sponge can lead to an odd transition. How do you feel about ‘thinking about’ turning/kicking your left knee out towards the target which automatically gets your hips turning and paces your transition?

    23. themothmanreturns Said,

      stack & tilt

    24. jyoon92 Said,

hey Jeff! Any drills or swing thoughts on how to “drop the club in the slot” without going over the top of the swing plane?

    25. telescope3 Said,

@falldogg I struggled for years with my hips ’squirting out’ from under my upper torso at the start of the downswing. My upper torso would fall away from the target, leading to fat shots, or handsy hooks. What helped me was to create more TORSO TORQUE on the backswing (swing the arms/club to turn the shoulders AGAINST the hips). When the hips move to start the downswing, the tensioned torso helps the upper torso to move WITH THE HIPS, with the torso remaining properly ’stacked’ through impact.
